Home of the Hawks!!
Welcome to another great year at Valley View Elementary!
Box Tops Competition
Students, have your parents help you collect General Mills box tops to bring to your teacher. You can help your class win the monthly contest and earn money for your school!
Our school proudly participates in the Watch D.O.G.S (Dads Of Great Students) program. For more information about how to participate, please contact the main office. You can also visit their national website to find out more about the program
Battle of the Books!
Encourage your child to join our B.O.B competition!
Please clip every box top you have (on the dotted lines if you could, please). We will be collecting them all year. Of the money collected, 50% goes directly to your student’s classroom. The other 50% goes to the PTA to help support the teachers.
Throughout the year we will have school or PTA run fundraisers. Look for more information in our weekly principal or PTA emails.

We will have two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The classes will be small with less than 20 students. See the attached flier for more information:
Register for the 2019-20 ballroom team! Space is limited and spots are awarded on a priority basis. Available to 3rd-6th graders. Register now to reserve your spot!
Congratulations to our students and staff on another successful school year! We want you to know how much we have enjoyed working with your students and the progress they have made in the last eight months. In ASD, we focus on the well-being of the whole child. This includes what they learn academically, as well as their social and emotional safety. Through our partnership with the United Way and the “EveryDay Strong” Campaign, we know that students need to feel SAFE (physically and emotionally), CONNECTED and CONFIDENT. We all need to work together in achieving this goal.
Considering we will not be in school for over two months, we want to give you some helpful tips and useful suggestions for the summer.
The following link will share “Healthy Habits for Summer”.
In the absence of school staff and service providers, here is a link listing some Community Resources that are available to you if needed.
There may be times when, as a parent or guardian, you are unsure if your child is showing signs that should concern you. The following link can help: “Know the Five Signs that Might Indicate Someone is in Emotional Pain”
This information is also available on school websites. We hope you have an enjoyable and safe summer. We are looking forward to seeing both students and parents again in August.
